factory load is about 4,000 kw. In 1983 we installed a 2,500
kw, 480 volt Ideal generator driven through a Lufkin N1800C
gear reducer and driven by a Trane Murray turbine. The unit
is capable of handling about seventy percent of the factory
needs. The switch gear is set up to co-generate with LP&L.
Two separate 1,500 kw substations were added in 1992 and 1997
to handle the excess factory load.
